Today’s release includes the following updates:

bugfix

  • Fixed an issue where labels in the Task command’s Labels field were not sorted by position order. Labels now appear in the configured position order.
  • Fixed an issue where a very long search in a medication or condition field could slow searches down for everyone on the instance.
    • Searches of more than ten words no longer match medical abbreviations to their full terms, such as HTN to hypertension. Shorter searches are unchanged.

data

  • The Audit Report in Settings now covers document printing, and correctly attributes every entry to the person who performed the action.
    • Printing a document leaves a record naming who printed it, what was printed, and the patient in context. This covers After Visit Summaries, notes, educational material, letters, appointment lists, schedules, cash reconciliation, claims and superbills, receipts, ledgers, insurance cards, and every command printout.
    • Print activity appears alongside created, changed, deleted, and access entries. Previewing a document in the fax dialog is recorded separately as a fax preview, with the action faxpreview.
    • Entries are no longer left out of the export when the staff member or the patient cannot be identified. The entry appears with Unknown or N/A in that column.

  • The data module gains two models, record timestamps, and three field fixes.
    • Plugins can now read CustomCommand records, the anchor for the custom command, including their patient and note references.
    • Plugins can now read Clipboard command data, including the associated patient, note, and free-text content.
    • Plugins can now read created and modified on 69 data models, including Patient, Appointment, Condition, Medication, Message, and Task, so a plugin can filter and sort on when a record last changed. The underlying timestamps were added on 09.10.2026, so a record that has not changed since then reads as 1970-01-01.
    • .active() raised an error on NewLineItemPayment, NewLineItemAdjustment, and LineItemTransfer. It now returns the transactions on those models that have not been entered in error.
    • PatientContactPoint.last_verified never returned a value, so a plugin could not tell whether a contact had been verified. It now returns the time of verification, or nothing when the contact has not been verified.
    • MessageTransmission.delivered and failed hold the time delivery succeeded or failed, rather than a boolean. Plugins can now filter and compare them as times.
  • Fixed an issue where the right chart pane closed when you moved between routes for the same patient. The pane now stays open when you go to Documents, Profile, diagnostics, or a full-chart application tab, so in-progress work in a pane application survives a tab click.
    • The pane still closes when you switch to a different patient or leave the chart, and pane applications are told when it closes.
    • Closing the pane on its own leaves a modal that is open at the same time in place.
  • Plugins can now open a modal from any handler, not only from an application or an action button. The modal opens for the person it was raised for, in Canvas or in the patient portal, if they have it open at the time.
  • Canvas now refuses a programmatic commit of a Prescribe command, so a prescription cannot be signed without a licensed prescriber doing it in Canvas. This covers refills and adjustments. A plugin can still draft a prescription for a prescriber to review and sign, and can still send one that a prescriber has signed.
