Update: the Canvas Platform upgrade made simpler
This is an update to the Canvas Platform change we announced October 16. We’ve simplified the upgrade: Canvas now upgrades your organization’s plugins for you, and they keep running exactly as they do today. The renaming and repository steps in the October 16 announcement no longer apply, and plugins you already renamed keep working as they are.
What to do now:
- Keep using
canvas installandcredentials.inias you do today. - Confirm you have access to Canvas Platform. Your Organization admins will receive invites over the next week, and can then give their developers the Plugin developer and Deploy manager roles.
What to do after Canvas notifies you that your organization’s plugins are upgraded, before December 14, 2026:
- Follow Upgrading to Canvas Platform to update your development workflow and CI pipelines.
